Mahindra’s expansion journey reached an important milestone with the decision to construct a new industrial plant in Dois Irmãos, a move that reinforces long-term commitment to the region’s agricultural progress and industrial development.

September marked the first major step, as Mahindra signed the agreement with the Dois Irmãos City Hall, formalising the project following the approval of its preliminary environmental license. The new facility will rise on Estrada Travessão Ivoti, with a land area of 89,190 m² and 38,568 m² of built structures in its initial phase, along with plans for an additional 24,000 m² in future expansion. “This project reinforces our commitment to regional development, job creation and accessible innovation for national agriculture. We’re investing not just in infrastructure, but in the future of those who feed the country,” said Mr. Jak Torretta Jr. (CEO, Mahindra Brazil). Once operational, the plant will triple production capacity and the workforce strength.

October brought double the celebration, as Mahindra completed 9 successful years of operations in the country and prepared to commence construction. With over 13,000 tractors already serving farmers nationwide and a strong network of more than 90 sales and service points, the new plant represents a strategic step toward greater proximity, faster supply and innovation tailored to local needs.

The momentum continued into November with the official ground-breaking ceremony, a memorable moment marking the start of construction. The event saw leadership from across government and industry, including Mr. Ernani Polo (Secretary of Economic Development of Rio Grande do Sul) representing the Governor, Mr. Jerri Meneghetti, Mayor of Dois Irmãos, Mahindra and the dealer’s representatives, media and business stakeholders.

From signing to celebration to breaking ground, each month has moved Mahindra further into an ambitious and promising future. The national agricultural ecosystem will only get stronger and lay the foundation for the next decade of success.
