As the dynamic Kedar Apte takes over the reins as Chief of International Operations, FES, Mahindra & Mahindra, from his visionary predecessor, it's an opportune time to know more about his professional accomplishments

A seasoned authority in the Sales & Marketing space, Kedar has more than 20 years of experience across diverse businesses, from FMCG to Energy. He is known for his keen understanding of the market scenario and his ability to provide pathbreaking solutions. Kedar has enriched his experience as he spent a decade with Hindustan Unilever Ltd. in sales & marketing roles, managing some of India's top brands including LUX. He concluded his stint at HUL and moved to Castrol India, where he went on to become Head of Brand, and then Chief Marketing Officer, and helmed the brand strategy, marketing communication, digital and PR functions for B2C as well as B2B businesses

Kedar was the brain behind some radical initiatives like Super Mechanic, a mechanic advocacy program and CRB Truck Asana, an initiative targeted to improve truckers' health, which did wonders for the brand as well as won a lot of prestigious external accolades. He excelled as the Sales Director for Egypt & Pakistan, leading a diverse team to grow the brand in the region. Kedar moved to Jio-bp as Chief Marketing Officer thereafter, where he was entrusted with designing the brand identity, shaping the value propositions and setting up a convenience retailing business; all of which he did with great success

Kedar takes pride in being decisive and agile, and he does so through ruthless prioritisation. One of his favourite quotes is from Andre Agassi's biography, 'The Open', where his coach tells him 'Not to go for your best on every ball and waste energy, but to choose those that make-or-break points where he could go for a kill' Warmly welcoming Kedar and wishing him tremendous amount of success in his new role
